Hey everyone, I thought I would add something to this section because there wasn't anything added yet. I'm sure everyone here has at least one non-Bulbo orchid they would love to show off! I recently made a Nano-vivarium and attached all warm growing Columbian species. If you've never heard of one before, basically you silicon a clay tube to a piece of glass and fill it with water. The water then slowly leaks out and waters your plants. I take absolutely no credit for this idea as I was inspired by Linda Karlbom and her nano-vivariums. Try to look at my pictures first because after seeing hers you'll never look at my pitiful plants again haha www.flickr.com/photos/lika_sweden/sets/72157606521712474/Lepanthes telipogoniflora

Very nice!
Yes, the Karlboms arrangements are truly beautiful. Mikael seem to be very innovative. They have a new material called Hygrolon which sounds interesting. Unlike epiweb this material can soak up water.
Some years ago I got myself L. telipogoniflora, and L. calodictyon from Ecuagenera. They grew to some great looking specimens. Unfortunately, after some time they and some other pleurothallids perished for me. Whether it was because of salt build-up in the medium, or spider mite problems, I can't say. I may have to try them again.
Regards,
Christer

Love this species! Thanks for posting Justin. Would love to see a full photo of your nano-viv set up, looks quite interesting.
Might just be me but the flickr link you provided doesn't seem to be working.

Hey Christer, I'm super interesting in their new material as well, maybe Linda will be able to post something one day. I have both of those species on the tube and they both grow well but I would imagine that they could die pretty fast when they become uphappy.
Drew, I just checked the link and I think its working now, I have pictures of the whole thing and I just have to get a few more pictures before I post it. I promise you it will come soon!

You mentioned these tubes on Dendro and now that I see them they are awesome. I am going to put some in my next viv. Are there any Micro's that may take a thumb sized frog walking on them?

You could deff incorporate these tubes into a Viv for frogs, one first suggesting would be to cover the top or fill the tube without something that won't decompose, you wouldn't want your frogs falling in. Many of the micro's will handle being walked over.
I would start with Bulbophyllum and related species as well as anything in the Pluerothallid alliance, they handle the moisture very well and seem to love it.
Avoid using anything that will take over in a short amount of time, because chances are it will choak out anything else. If Linda sees this maybe she can add to this, seeing as she has tried many different alliances with this method.
