Hi, This is a picture of bulbophyllum ipanemense, which I bought in flower (as you can see) in 2007. Ever since then, it has produced new bulbs, but I have failed to make it flower again. Does anyone in here grow this species and if so, can you give any cultural tips as to where I am going wrong? I know it needs stronger light levels than my other bulbos, as this is a Brazilian species, so it is growing on a South East facing windowsill. It has produced growths that are progressively larger than last's year, but I have never managed to get any spikes. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. Francis Attachments:

Also, how do you add more than one picture onto the thread? I am baffled by this...

This plant won't grow for me as it is a cool grower, the fact that its getting bigger and bigger is a really good sigh. Keep up the brighter light and cooler temperatures and I'm sure it will flower for you. Some of the other Euro growers might be able to give more info on this little guy.
As for posting multiple photo....
If your going to use the forum as a host you'll only be able to post one at a time. The way most people do it is to use an external host like Photobucket or Flickr. I use Photobucket because its pretty easy.
Once you make an account you upload your photos to there and then get the direct link and use the code [I*M*G] Paste the direct link here [/I*M*G] without the * there is also a button above the text box when your creating a post, you just click it and the code shows up.
Let me know if you need any more help on this and I can give you more specific details.

I dont grow this Bulbo, so I cant give you any advises, sorry. But I dont think, that you have here a B. ipanemense. It looks much more lika a B. longispicatum.

Thanks for the message, Max.
Looking at the pics on J Phal's website, my flower does look more similar in colour to B. longispicatum than to B. ipanemense, even though my pictures also appear in the B. ipanemense page!
Unfortunately, looking around at many websites, I have not found the descriptions for any of the Bulbos the seem to be part of this complex (B warmingianum, B longispicatum and B ipanemense).
I'll keep looking around and might try and get the descriptions with the original colour plates from Kew here in London if I can, just so I can put the right lable to it, although it seems that in terms of growing them, they all grow in the same area, so conditions should not really change much from one to another.
Regards,
Francis
