I had a belated Christmas today, with two shipments of orchids arriving at the same time. From Wubben I got mostly bulbos: B. capituliflorum, B. oreonastes, B. dolichoglottis, B. alkmaarense, B. intersitum (odontopetalum), and B. nummularioides. The last one had some flowers, but as can be seen below they were not completely open. Maybe not surprising since it has been in boxed up for a while. My interest for terrestrial orchids from the genus Corybas got me to try C. pictus and C. geminigibbus. The latter arrived dormant, but the other was in growth. I have been wanting to try growing Porpax for a while now, and managed to get my hands on P. gigantea. I also got a small Genyorchis apetala. Also, I have once again entered the world of pleurothallids. Here is what came from O & M: Lepanthes vellicata, L. amphioxa, L. intermedia, Restrepia dodsonii, Trisetella triglochin, as well as some other plants like Macroclinium bicolor, Macroclinium hirtzii, and finally Sophronitis alagoensis. Not seen here; Laelia liliputana, and Bulbo. sp. sect. Hyalosema (Borneo). Regards, Christer

Christer those look amazing!!!!!!
May I ask where you got them from?
I'm sure they are all going to take off for you! I've wanted to grow many of those things, everyone of your plant is amazing for the size it gets. Def worth the space!
Looking forward to seeing updates.
Justin

Hi Justin, Thanks! The first bunch is from Wubben and the second from Orchids & More. The plan is to mount the pleurothallids on a IIS grow tube eventually. However, the growth of the L. intermedia is bit longer than I had expected, so it may have to stay on the cork mount. That plant came in bud, and one of the flowers has opened. I haven't seen many pics of this species, so I am not sure it is correctly labelled. Although I really should keep purchases to a minimum, this week I also got a bunch of CPs. When BCP released some seed-grown plants, I had to get N. burkei, N. fusca, N. sibuyanensis, and N. lowii + some sundews and a vft (bonus plant). I am also waiting on orchids from an import that has been delayed. Thankfully, I went with smallish species, a couple of Trias ssp, B. haniffii, and Sunipia grandiflora. Regards, Christer

As always that is a phenomenal picture Christer! I've been trying to keep my purchases to a minimum too but at least trades help I just ordered a couple more N. clipeata, N. campanulata, N. bellii and maybe another one or two. I also just got a couple plants from a friend today, N. globosa, N. ventricosa, N. ampullaria and although I have no Nep hybrids I had to accept N. lowii x campanulata and an amazing N. [ventricosa x sibuyanensis] x xtrusmadiensis Now to find places for them all!
