There about 40 species in this section widespread in China, Myanmar to Java, New Guinea, and East to New Caledonia. Most species of this Section are rarely seen in cultivation. I grow my plants shady, quite wet, with high humidity on tree fern. This seems to work very well. Anyone of you, who grows these beauties too? Here are my Epicranthes: Bulbophyllum abbrevilabiumBulbophyllum haniffiiBulbophyllum conchophyllum

No, I don't grow anything from this section. As you write, they don't seem to be very common in cultivation. The appendages on the flowers does make them look special. Nice photography by the way.

Christer

Hi Max! I must say your Photo's are looking amazing, I have the hardest time taking picture of this section!!!! Christer, those appendages love to move with the slightest vibration so they're always blurry!
For those that don't know this section, it has the best growth habbit. I grow Bulbophyllum haniffii just for the awesome growth. Max if you ever get the chance to take pictures of the full plants I would love to see them.
