Hi,
I only stumbled upon this forum yesterday, so I thought I'd say a quick hello and introduce myself.
I've been growing orchids for just over ten years. I grow indoors, in a small flat. I have a very mixed collection of about 300-400 orchids, that have to 'adapt' to my conditions.
I am mostly interested in species, although I do keep a few hybrids, as they are reliable and easy to flower, and let's face it, who doesn't want to have an orchid in flower every day of the year?
My main groups I like are Phalaenopsis, Pleurothallids (which I grow in two terrariums) and Bulbophyllums... Which I have always liked but never really taken the courage to delve into... Until now!
I have had about 8 different Bulbos for a few years, and two weeks ago, at an international orchid show in Peterborough (England), I pre-ordered a total of 27 new Bulbos from Ooi Len Sun Orchids from Malaysia.
I hope to be able to post some pictures soon, but until then...
Happy growing!
Francis

Hello Francis!!!
Its been pretty slow around here for the last month or two but I still check everyday and have some cool photos to post in the coming weeks.
I can't wait to see your 27 new Bulbo's!!!! You should post a list and tell us what you think of their Bulbo's, It's always nice to hear first hand experiences with Bulbo dealers.
Feel free to post tons of pictures and I hope we help you get addicted to Bulbo's!
Justin

Thanks for the welcome, Justin!
As soon as we get a little sunshine in London I'll try and take some good pics of my Bulbos. For the time being, I don't actually have any pics, as my old PC died on me and I lost all the pics! :-(

Welcome Francis!
Great to learn that you are getting more into bulbos. I am looking forward to seeing pics of them, or some of your other orchids.
Regards,
Christer

Trust me, if I start posting photos of my other orchids, the forum will have to change names! ;D Hopefully, if the weather is kind and my B. lobbii does not loose the first two flowers to open, I might be able to show it with all 11 flowers on (currently two fully opened flowers and another 9 spikes at different stages!). glad to hear it! My two different lobbii's are flowering and in bud right now, I'll have to post pics once they're both open.
Do feel free to start your own thread on your other orchids, we all love to see pictures of anything interesting!

Hi Francis,
We like pics! Although I don't have much in flower right now, I do have some recent acquisitions in spike; B. oreonastes and B alkmaarense. Although B. nummularioides is in flower mode, seeing the flowers completely open is another thing.
Hopefully, I will be able to post some pics of Trisetella triglochin (if it doesn't blast), as well as Macro. hirtzii in the "other orchids" section.
Regards,
Christer
